In order to for my Local Area Connection (high speed internet) connection to load, I need to restart 2 - 3 times. (FYI, my 1394 network connection seems to have no issue loading as it is listed every time)

My motherboard is an Intel D945GPM and I have downloaded the lasted driver from Intel to no avail. I was about to download the latest BIOS but read it's not recommended unless it will repair a "specific" issue. Needless to say, in all my on line searching, I have yet to discover my specific issue mentioned.

I should mention this in fact has happened before but my pc was under warranty. When I returned it for a diagnostic, I was told windows needed to be reinstalled and they charged me (which I wasn't too pleased about) to do it. Whether they did something else at the same time only they will know.

I'm coming to you this time in hope of finding an alternate remedy.

Anyone have any thoughts?
