A week or two ago I tried to open a MP4 file by double-click and got that message about there being no program associated with it. It had always played before. I fixed that and thought nothing of it. Then recently, all MPG files started doing the same thing, so I had to go into file associations, and it wasn't even there, so I had to re-created it.
Now today, I go into my music, and find that all the icons had changed and behold, they (MP3) wouldn't play either. (They played yesterday) Had to re-create the file association. Now I'm really getting pissed. What could be deleting my file associations? I haven't installed or uninstalled anything so this has me stumped.
