I was trying to conserve disc space on my hard drive and transfered several seldom used programs to my external hard drive. When I transfered them back, I find I cant open them. They are listed on "C" drive ,program files, but when I click on the...

I was trying to conserve disc space on my hard drive and transfered several seldom used programs to my external hard drive. When I transfered them back, I find I cant open them. They are listed on "C" drive ,program files, but when I click on the program it dosent open. Have I screwed up badly?
