My mom had to replace her CD rom. Well, they could only get a DVD rom. When my dad installed it, the BIOS setup screen came on. Every time she turns on the computer, it comes on. Unfortunately the DVD rom is not working. The computer will not even read the D: drive. I removed the new rom and put in the CD rom...the computer now reads the D: drive. I removed the old and installed the new again. Turned on the computer and got the BIOS setup again~ either F1 to continue or F2 to enter setup. I have no idea what I'm to do to get this rom to work. Still does not recognize the D:drive. There is power to it, but it is not noticed by the system. Any suggestions?
What is the difference between the primary drive and slave drive?
